Childhood
Born April 20 1889
Linz- seeking a career in visual arts. After his father died, persuaded mom that he could pursue his love for art. he wanted to be an artist. Got rejected by the academy of arts. After mother died of breast cancer he moved to vienna to try getting accepted to the academy of arts.
Vienna- by the end of 1909 he knew real poverty. All his income had dried up. He started painting water colors in vienna with a partner. sometimes depended on jews for living
