Barón de Ripperdá closed the last three missions in East Texas and forced the 500 settlers to move to San Antonio.
Y’Barbo led the settlers back into the East Texas timberlands,
Gálvez’s army forced British troops from towns and forts along the Gulf of Mexico.
In 1819 the United States and Spain signed the Adams-Onís Treaty, ending the boundary dispute.
