- Commonly found in infants and children

- White, flaky patches called scales
1ST DEGREE BURNS
- Most minimal burn damage
- Affects the superficial (outer) skin area
2ND DEGREE BURN
- Affects outer layer and underlying skin area
- Blistering will occur
3RD DEGREE BURN
- Affects all layers of skin
- Permanant tissue damage
