- Women raised children, watched their husbands and were responsible for relationships.
- Women took care of the deeds in the family.

- In some societies, wives were domestic servants.
- Women could be Pharaohs, but in special circumstances.

- They could have property, borrow money, sign contracts, and arrange a divorce.

- Marriage and having children was desirable.
- After marriage, women still had independence form their husbands and rights.

- They had a system of writing called hieroglyphics.
- Hieroglyphics were carved in stone.

- Hieratic script were drawings that were represented as dashes, strokes, and curves.
- It was later papyrus.

- Temples were buildings that devoted to the worship of gods or any other religious meanings.

- They were able to calculate area, volume, and figured out how to use geometry to observe the flooded land.
- They made a 365 day calendar.
