A is for anonymous
During Montag's time, history is anonymous. No one really knows what happened, and what used to be. Everyone was brainwashed so they didn't know the past. History is unknown.

B is for Books
Books allow you to think and escape into a different world where you can wonder. But these days people aren't aloud to think. Books are banned, and are burned when found.

C is for Conformity
Everyone is the same, if people didn't have faces you wouldn't be able to tell anyone apart. People are brainwashed to not think, so everyone just does the same thing.
D is for Different
Clarisse McClellan is a 17 year old girl who is different. She isn't the same as every one else, because she thinks. Clarisse thinks about a lot of things which makes her seem crazy, but she's really just different. She allows Montag to think about things, and about himself for once. Clarisse opens up Monatg's eyes.

E is for Education
In education they brainwash kids at an extremely young age teaching them to not think. They dropped courses such as English, spelling, and philosophy. School was shortened and kids being going to school as young as toddler age.

F is for Firemen
Firemen in the future aren't heroes and they don't put out fires. They start them. A fireman's duty is to find books and set the house on fire that holds them. People fear the fireman.

G is for Guy Montag
Guy Montag is a fireman that burns books for a living. He is married to a woman named Mildred, but once he meets Clarisse he is not so sure he is happy with his life. Clarisse is a young girl who makes him think about things. Now that Guy has actually thought about things he has a million questions. He suddenly wants to know more about history, and what happened.

H is for hound
The mechanical hound is a robotic dog that sniffs out people who have books. The fireman use the mechanical hound to find people who have books so they can burn them. The mechanical hound is not fond of Guy Montag and always growls at him because he knows that Guy has books.
