HOW IS POLLUTION CAUSED?

  • It's caused by substances such as wastes,
  • Or forms of energy,
  • An example of a form of energy is radiation
  • Some are caused by natural events
  • Such as volcanic eruption

WHY IS IT A PROBLEM?

  • It's a problem because it can cause health issues
  • Health issues can be short or long term
  • It can also cause damage to the environment
  • Such as damage to crops, animals, forests and bodies of water

ANIMALS THAT ARE AFFECTED

  • Pollution happens everywhere and any animal can be affected
  • People pollute either intentionally or by accident

WHERE POLLUTION IS HAPPENING

  • It mostly happens in big cities where there is a lot of different places it's coming from
  • And they are stuck together in one place because sometimes mountain or tall buildings keep it from escaping
  • This causes smog
  • But pollution happens everywhere
  • In the water, on land, and in the air

WHEN POLLUTION IS HAPPENING

  • Pollution happens everyday
  • From our hairspray at home
  • To the gas from your car
  • And the factories that burn fuel

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?

  • It's happening because of the rapid growth in our industry
  • Which cause destruction of valuable resources

HOW POLLUTION IMPACTS ANIMALS

  • Has a negative impact on their health
  • It can give them diseases, that can lead to death
  • Acid rain is pollution and that kills fish in lakes and streams

HOW TO STOP POLLUTION

  • Use environmentally safe products
  • Such as using your hose to wash leaves into the gutter
  • This helps marine animals because leaves can be harmful to them
  • Throw away trash properly
  • If you place hazardous items in the wrong spot they can have harm to our animals

  • Recycle used motor oils and filters
  • This helps keep rivers creeks and oceans pollutant free
  • Recycle everything you can
  • This helps animals so that so many things that could have been recycle
  • don't end up in our oceans

LEATHERBACK SEA TURTLE

  • The leatherback sea turtle is endangered by pollution
  • They are confusing jelly fish with plastic bags
  • Some people are protecting nesting beaches and nearshore habitats,
  • Promoting retinal agreements to conserve them,
  • Letting people know in communities so that they will protect them
