But when repentance born out of love will last. When you receive the love of Jesus, you're so overwhelmed by that love, you can't help but love Him back.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fear is not made perfect in love.

We love because He first loved us.
1 John 4:18-19

"If God is this loving, why bother being good?"

If you really have experienced "the height, breadth, and depth" of God's love, it will change you.

This is grace -- God's gift to you. You don't deserve it. But you receive it anyway. It is this unreasonable grace that starts your new life in Christ.

It is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the Gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

REPENTANCE MEANS TAKING ACTION

WORLDLY SORROW

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
2 Corinthians 7:10

REPENTANCE IS AN ACTION

I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.
Acts 26:20

APPLICATION

• Are you taking responsibility for all the sins you've done? What area in your life do you need to take responsibility for?
• Are you turning away from sin? How are you taking action?

APPLICATION

• Go to confession to a priest who can listen, advise and pray for you.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I repent from all my sins. With Your power at work in my life, I'm now turning away from my wrongdoing and I'm now walking towards You. Once again, thank You for forgiving me and cleansing me and giving me a new life. I want to follow You and be Your disciple forever. I know You will be with me always, in Jesus' name. Amen.
