As of December 31, 2020, there were 42.7 million abortions performed in the course of the year - Breitbart.com

Worldometer revealed,

8.2 million people died from
5 million from smoking
1.7 million of HIV/AIDS.
1.8 million from the coronavirus in 2020 - according to Johns Hopkins University.

The data on abortions displayed on the Worldometer's counter

is based on the latest statistics on worldwide abortions published by the World Health Organization (WHO).

According to WHO, every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions per day.

In the USA, where nearly half of pregnancies are unintended and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion

Over 3,000 abortions per day.

Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies in the USA (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.

Worldometer — voted one of the best free reference websites by the American Library Association (ALA) — keeps a running tally through the year of major world statistics, including population, births, deaths, automobiles produced, books published, and CO2 emissions.

Why Students for Life?

StedentsforLife.org

79% of Planned Parenthoods are 5 miles from a college.

52% of abortion seeking women are under 25

College and high school is a time when worldviews are challenged and formed. Culture is shaped by youth. If we want to end abortion, we have to start with the young people -

for it is obvious that planned parenthood knows where its market is.....

National Pro Life Summit

Liz Wheeler - host of Tipping Point
National Pro Life Summit - last Janaury 25th....

Liz Wheeler, the host of Tipping Point, warns about the nuanced advertising from liberals on abortion. She highlights five common lies that liberals tell about abortion and says that combating these lies will help push us into a post-Roe America.

Dr. Steven Jacobs

  • Asked 2,899 Americans who speaks with the most authority about when life begins?
  • 80% said Biologists
  • He surveyed 5,502 Biologists
  • 95% said at conception
  • But we already knew that....
• We are on the cusp of overturning Roe v. Wade. We have to know how to answer the lies of liberals in order to help in the culture wars;
• There are five major lies that liberals tell, but the most commonly deployed is that if abortion was illegal, women would get back alley abortions. History tells us this is false;
• Pro-lifers are the most caring people, outnumbering pro-abortionists in charitable giving, adoption, foster care, and post-birth support of women.

Steven Jacobs – recent PhD student at the university of Chicago has done a study on the dynamics around abortion – asking two questions…..

https://www.thecollegefix.com/uchicago-scholar-proves-biologists-believe-li... article tells his story

1. Surveyed 2,899 Americans asking them who they believed spoke with the most authority on when life begins – 81% answered – academic biologists
2. Second question he asked – He surveyed 5,502 biologists around the world when did life begin – 95% said at conception……..
https://www.studentsforlifehq.com/products/history-maker-

A study found 80 percent of Americans say biologists should decide the question of when life begins, and, when more than 5,500 biologists were then asked that question, 96 percent affirmed life begins at fertilization.

Steven Jacobs, Ph.D. completed his doctoral dissertation research (final publication pending, but an earlier version can be read here - https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3211703) recently at the University of Chicago, but only after a decade of investigation that ultimately led to his final study titled “Balancing Abortion Rights and Fetal Rights.”toolkit/categories/3708572/posts/12411376

Psalm 139:13-16

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

God Created Me

Brought into existence something that wasn't there before

Inner workings of who I am, mind will, emotions etc....

Knit me together

The point of the making was to create something

that was a living being "in process"

That was fearfully and wonderfully made -

above average in complexity

worthy of respect

something to be amazed by...

(Illus. birth of a child is something amazing to see....and experience)

God noticed me

while in the womb
Did not forget me while I was taking shape

actually it is where I was woven together - word used to describe an intricately detailed tapestry full of color and patterns that point to the amazing skill of the weaver

22 days in.....my heart begins to beat.....under the careful supervision of a skilled weaver....

Saw my unformed body - so apparently I am considered alive before my body even takes any shape......affirming the recent research from our worldwide survey of biologists......

who designs me to last a certain amount of time before I even leave the womb.....

There is a lot going on in there.....

Some other thoughts....

  • All the pronouns
  • Job 31:15
  • Isaiah 49:5-7
  • Jeremiah 1:4-5
  • John the Baptist
1. All the prononuns in these 3 verses point to a "person being in there"

2. Job 31:15 Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?

3. Isaiah 49:5-7 - And now the Lord says—he who formed me in the womb to be his servant....Apparently some of us know our purpose from the moment of conception....

4. Jeremiah 1:4-5 - The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

5. John the Baptist - described as filled with the Holy SPirit from Birth, an dleaping in his mother's womb when his mom greeted Mary Luke 1:15b, 41-44
