Untitled Slide

After I graduate EHS, I plan to attend either SU or ALC to study music in ministry and earn my Bachelors degree. (Which is the required degree.)

EXPECTED INCOME

JOB OUTLOOK

  • Reading a report from the U.S National Bureau of Labor Statistics, Band Directing will only grow about 7%. Although ministry has a continuous growth daily!!

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Going into the field of any type of music requires a lot of skill and knowledge.
  • Firstly starting with patience.
  • Having a good background of being musically involved in school helps also.
  • Being able to conduct decently is very important!
  • Also knowing your notes, scales, etc.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITH OTHERS

I mainly plan to be a worship leader, kind of because it runs in the family. Band directing and being a Drum Major does also. If the worship leader thing doesn't turn out as planned, Band director it is!!

PROS/CONS

  • Some 'pros' to being a worship leader are;
  • You'll be doing it for the person who gave you your very being.
  • You'll be setting an example to others.
  • And you'll prove that your churches work wasn't done in vein!

PROS/CONS CONT.

  • Some cons to being a worship leader;
  • You may at times get tired of living the "church life" and desire a life outside of it(that's why I have band directing as a fallback)

RELATED JOBS

  • Drama teacher
  • Art teacher
  • Producer
  • Editor and many more

Becoming a band director or a worship leader is great either way because I'll still be doing something I enjoy...music!
