The mountains have a volcanic origin.
It has one highest peaks in Texas (8,383 ft)

LAKE AUSTIN
The lake begins at the McDonald Dam and ends at the Tom Miller Dam.
There is a bridge that goes over it named the Percy V. Pennybacker. Jr.
You can also fish there and catch largemouth bass, catfish and sunfish.
