PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TRANSPIRATION

BY: SAXTON SUCHANIC

First water enters the plant through the roots.

Next it goes through the stem in tubes called xylem.

After that the water goes into the leaves and exits out of the stomates which are controlled by guard cells.

Lastly the water exists the leaves in the form of water vapor.

Transpiration is part of the evaporation stage in the water cycle.

Transpiration is important because it gets water to every plant cell. And if there was a drought, stomates would stay closed to keep water.

Talking to Text - I was surprised that less than 5% of water taken in by a plant is used for photosynthesis and other life processes.
