On the night of broken glass the German attacked all of the Jewish people throughout Germany and Austria. Massive campaigns of the anti-jewish people violence is known as kristallnacht meaning “crystal night”. It lasted more than two days in some parts of the world. Kristallnacht marked a new and terrifying level of Nazi persecution of the Jews which later on lead to the holocaust
On November 10, 1938 the Nazis attacked the Jewish people. They attacked them because a 17 year old boy shot and killed the third secretary of the German embassy
That is why they attacked the Jewish people because they had killed one of their most important people they treated all of them like slaves.
Dozens of Jews lost their lives because a Jewish boy diced to kill their leader, all of the Jew had to pay with their lives or work. In two days, over 250 synagogues were burned, over 7,000 Jewish businesses were trashed and looted, dozens of Jewish people were killed, and Jewish cemeteries, hospitals, schools, and homes were looted while police and fire brigades stood by.
The morning after the pogroms 30,000 German Jewish men were arrested for the "crime" of being Jewish and sent to concentration camps, where hundreds of them perished. Some Jewish women were also arrested and sent to local jails. Businesses owned by Jews were not allowed to reopen unless they were managed by non-Jews.
On the night of broken glass the Germans looted over 7000 stores and business. They also left hundreds of people to live on the streets.They sent hundreds of woman and children to jail for a "crime" of being Jew.
