ENERGY CONVERTED TO A FAN
HOW THE SUN POWERS A PLUG-IN FAN

2.
THE SUN
Nuclear fusion on the sun is created when elements interact w/ eachother
The nuclear fusion creates many forms of energy such as thermal and radiant energies
These energies will soon give energy to plants

Luz Adriana Villa A.
3.
PLANTS
Radiant energy allows the seeds to grow and they warm themselves w/ thermal energy
Many years later, these plants undergo a massive change
The plants that were grown using radiant energy, decay.
The plants sink back into the ground like the seed was in the 1st stage
They become coal, a very important fuel to create electricity

4.
COAL
Coal is created from the plants
This coal has within it chemical potential energy
Coal, being very valuable is mined from the ground
It is then taken to a coal plant to change energy forms
The forms that it changes to is Thermal Energy and Electricity

5.
COAL ELECTRIC PLANT
The coal is taken to be burned
It creates thermal energy
The thermal energy heats water
The water creates steam which rotates the turbine
The turbine creates motion which powers the generator

Bob Jagendorf
6.
FAN
The generator creates electricity or electric energy
The electric energy travels through wires
The wires ultimately go to your home
The electricity enters the fan
The fan produces sound and kinetic energy
