The Egyptians often wore clothes made of linen. Linen was made from flax. The flax would get soaked, separated into fibers, spun in thread and then finally woven into cloth.
Men and women both wore kohl around their eyes and used oil to soften their skin before shaving. Kohl was used to keep the sun out of their eyes. Woman used body scrubs, cleansing creams and lipstick.
Mean wore short skirts made of linen. Women wore dresses made of linen that usually has one or two straps. Children and servants were usually naked but they still wore jewelry. Most Egyptians walked barefoot but some wore sandals.
The wealthier Egyptians wore gold jewelry while the ordinary Egyptians wore jewelry made of clay. Rings, amulets, bracelets, pendants and anklets were some of the different types of jewelry worn by the Egyptians.
