  • Other works include his poem "The Hippopotamus".

  • He was one of 6 children, born in St. Louis Missouri, and he grew up within the family's tradition of service to, community, education and religion.

  • T.S Eliot began writing for a few reasons, he was inspired by other poets like Ezra Pound. But he also found that writing was his escape from the real and cruel world.
