LITERARY

In LOFT these boys on the island lose their innocence slowly as the chapters progress. For instance, Jack was a little choir boy before the island incident. Now he leads his own tribe of hunters and has lost all of his innocence. Same with Roger but he had already somewhat lost his innocence. In this book most of the boys lose their innocence fast within months to a year. This shows how fast some of these kids had lost their innocence. That isn't the best of things.

PSYCHOLOGY

According to Brian Allen can't keep their innocence as they grow up because for one their curiosity will make them curious whether it be early on or later on down the road, children might be able to keep their innocence for a good amount of time but if they get exposed to anything even just one concept they will have the curiosity to want to explore it all or in their mind to discover new things. Most likely children will find out sooner or later whether it be glom friends, family, or they hear it from their parents, etc, they will find out sooner or later. From a psychological perspective a child cant keep their innocence as they grow up.

PERSONAL

In my personal experience as you grow up you start losing innocence from either the people you hang out with, or getting the talk or thing associated with that. But in my personal perspective most people lose their innocence by the people on which they hang out with. With the group of friends that most people hang out with as people get older they start getting curious and they start learning and as they learn they slowly start to loose their own innocence. Losing innocence is a part of growing up because over time weather it be with the people you hang out with or just by overhearing things etc. you will lose your innocence either way because it is a part of life.

CONCLUSION
