What "If I Stay" is about?
* The story "If I Stay" is based on a true event that happen several years before the novel "If I Stay" was written. In the story, Mia and her family were in a tragic accident that was a life or death moment.

Theme:

• The theme of the story is not everything in life is not easy. Life is full of choices that you make, not choices that others make for you.

Setting

• The story first take place in their home in a small town in Oregon in the winter time. However, majority of the setting takes place in the hospital.

MIa HALL

• Mia Hall is the main character, she is age seventeen. She had been playing the cello since grade 3, when she was interested into it. Mia like classical music unlike the rest of her family. Mia's boyfriend Adam likes rock and roll like her parents. Mia has a little brother named Teddy who died in a car accident along with her parents, leaving her alone.

Adam wilde

• Adam is eighteen and he is Mia's boyfriend. Adam is part of a band called the Shooting Star. He cared deeply for Mia and he wish that she will live.

Conflict

• Mia had to choose whether to live her life without her parents or die with them

Ending

• I recommend this book to all ages. This book was written for young adults but the message is so spiritual. A terrible event may hurt you but can never really break you.
