  • Bronchitis is caused by the repeated annoyance of lungs/airway

  • A huge majority of people with this disease also smoked
  • Smokers are 6x more likely to develop this disease than nonsmokers
  • Emphysema is the third-leading cause of death in the U.S.( also chronic bronchitis)

  • Smoking is particularly dangerous for people who have high blood pressure (5x more likely to have a stroke)
  • Once you stop smoking you begin to reduce the chances of having a stroke
