• Parents -David and Elizabeth Poe
• Got adopted by the Allan's
• Grew up in good surroundings and went to good schools
• Dropped school at the age of 17

ADULT LIFE

• Joined the U.S. army in 1827
• In 1835, he got a job as an editor of a newspaper because of a contest he won energy created by electrons moving through an electrical conductor with his story ,"The Manuscript Found in a Bottle "
• He was 27 when he married his cousin
• increased its circulation from 500 to 3500 copies.
• He didn't had a good job and stable job.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• He established basic principles for analyzing poetry that have subsequently been .
