  • Her father had lofty ambitions for her and ensured that she receive training in piano, violin, singing, theory, harmony, composition, and counterpoint from the time she was a little girl.

CLARA’S ROMANCE

  • Robert Schumann started taking lessons from her dad.
  • She was obviously attracted to him and her father was worried it would distract her from her music.
  • Her father then decided to take her on a tour through Germany and France, spending months in Paris.
