Should attendance be mandatory?

• Graduate students
• Undergraduate students

I strongly believe that student attendance should be optional !

First of all

• " A common argument brought up by students regarding mandatory attendance is that, as tuition payers,they shouldn't be punished for missing something they are paying for anyway" (Osman)

Second of all

• The student's final grade should be reflective on there overall knowledge and understanding of the material.
• NOT their ability to show up o every single class!!
