DIALOGUE

• Your dialogue must go in quotation marks
• When a new person speaks, skip a line
• Punctation goes inside quotation marks

TENSES

• Keep tense consistent
• Stick with past or present
• Past tense is easier to use

COMMA SPLICE

• Use a comma paired with a conjunction
• Use a semicolon to connect two complete thoughts
• Separate two complete thoughts using a period

REMEMBER:

• Your final project must be typed
• Your drafts and worksheets must be attached
• A final will not be accepted without a draft
• Your story should have a title
• All materials must be turned in for credit
