French and indian war

  • 1754
  • The French, Native Americans, and the British were involved
  • The French built forts along to Ohio river
  • Later on Britain gained power

  • 1763-1774
  • British applied four laws to the colonists 
  • They tried to make this examples of people from Boston and MA

  • 1765
  • The Parliament and the Colonist were involved 
  • It required all colonists to by tax stamps
  • The British took power over the colonists

Tea Act

  • Began in 1773
  • British imposed a tax on colonists
  • East Indian company was a big part of the tea act  
  • Parliament passed the law

  • Document which wanted peace with Britain 
  • British declined peace
  • They sent 20,000 soldiers to end the revolution

  • The document was based on what colonists wanted to seperate from Britain

  • British troops and Americans were involved 
  • The British troops threw their weapons in a pile on the ground surrendering

treaty of paris

  • 1783
  • British and Americans were involved
  • The British was eager for peace, which led them to sign the treaty
  • Americans gained their independence
