KING TUT

  • King Tut was king from 1332 B.C.-1323 B.C. Of the 18th dynasty.
  • During the Egyptians history, he is known as King Tut. His real name is Tutakhamun.
  • King Tut had 2 stillborn daughters, "the younger lady" was his mother, and Akhenaten
  • was his dad. King Tut died at 18.

  • King Tut's parents were "the younger lady" and Akhenaten.
  • King Tut's wife was Ankhesenpaaten.
  • King Tut had 2 stillborn daughters, whose names have never been discovered.

RULE OF THE PHARAOH

  • This pharaoh ruled from 1333-1323 B.C. he ruled for around 10 years.
  • King Tut ruled from Maraya Ancient Egypt.
  • This empire was an area now know as Egypt.

PHARAOH'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS/FAILURES

  • The pharaoh did not accomplish much. He did not win wars,
  • he did not expand Egypt's borders. But he is the most recognized
  • Pharaoh in history. There were no technological advances at this time
  • But King Tut allowed the people to reestablish Egypt's traditional
  • Polytheistic religion and reopened the temples once closed by his father.

INTERESTING FACTS OR FINDINGS

  • King Tut became king when he was only 9 years old.
  • He married his half sister.
  • He ruled for only 9 years because he died.
  • King Tut had a deformed left foot and walked with a cane.
  • It is believed that anyone who opened the tomb of King Tut would suffer his wrath.

PHARAOH'S TOMB

  • Howard carter found the tomb in 1922. It was located in the valley of the kings
  • On the West Bank of the Nile. Compared to other king tombs, King Tut's tomb was small.
  • His mummy was found inside of three coffins. The innermost coffin was made from 243
  • pounds of solid gold. He was also buried with his two stillborn children, furniture, clothing,
  • food, wine, jewelry, perfumes, medicines, and footwear. Everything in the tomb is in an Egyptian museum.

HOW DOES PHARAOH DIE

  • King Tut died at age 18. The reason of his death still remains a mystery.
  • Some say he was murdered, but others say it was a disease of an injury.
  • King Tut died in 1323 B.C. In Ancient Egypt. The mask of his mummy is
  • the most popular icon in Egyptian history.

CONCLUSION

  • Although Tut was very young and ruled for only 9 years, he is the most well know
  • ruler in history. He did not make many changes, nor did he do good in battle, but
  • the mystery of his life and death, and the riches found in his tomb, make him one of
  • the most popular pharaohs from ancient Egypt.
