The pattern is repeated in two dimensional form.

RHYTHM

The painter repeated an element to create rhythm.

RANDOM RHYTHM

All similar people that repeat and have no regularity.

REGULAR RHYTHM

The waves come in, in a similar pattern and makes a rhythm to the ocean.

ALTERNATED

The first octagon has a pattern of red in the top left then white in the right. The second one has white in top left and red in the right. The main pattern in the middle is a brownish color in the first one and the second one it changes to black.

FLOWING RHYTHM

The wind is blowing the weeds and the grass and is curving the motif which makes it flowing rhythm.

PROGRESSIVE RHYTHM

The Sydney opera house is an example of progressive rhythm because the ceiling of it keeps changing by going down but only by a little bit.
