Traditions

  • On Christmas, carolers go from house to house, or they sing by the Christmas tree in London.
  • After the kids open their Christmas presents, they open their Christmas crackers.
  • As the Christmas day goes by, carolers go around house to house.

Holiday Character

  • In England, they don't have a Santa Claus, yet they have a Father Christmas.
  • When the children go to sleep, Father Christmas comes and delivers presents.
  • If children are naughty, Father Christmas wont deliver them a present.

  • The lights on the tree in London stay on, as long as they can.
  • People gather around the tree where it is located in London.

Transportation

  • Transportation is affected but people still get through the snow.
  • People wear coats and jackets as though it was cold.

Foods

  • Families cook delicious meals, for the family can eat on Christmas.
  • Whenever families come over on Christmas, the family prepares food for everyone.

  • Father Christmas delivers presents at night so that the kids don't see him.
  • Father Christmas comes at night before Christmas so the kids get to open their present on Christmas morning.
