PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The early life of Jim Carrey.
Jim Carrey was born to a anti-nuclear family consisting of himself, his father(Percy Carrey),his Mother(Kathleen nee-Oran Carrey)and his various siblings(John Carrey,Patricia Carrey and Rita Carrey). His parents raised him to be Roman Catholic.Eventually, Jim Carrey Moved to Burlington ,Ontario(Around 1 hour, 10 minutes from his birth home of Newmarket Ontario) and attended Aldershot highschool.
One of the biggest noted challenges Jim Carrey faced was actually one that could've prevented the rise in his career. You see, Jim Carrey had trouble actually getting on stage due to financial troubles. When he did actually make it to the stage, Jim's comedic impressions left the audience with a bad taste in their mouth and mind.Due to this bomb in his early career discouragement was bound to proceed. These event's coupled with his already unfortunate financial situation made it hard for Jim and his family to support his dreams.
Jim Carrey's financial troubles eventually died down and his family moved, making it easier for him to support his ideals. So with more domestic stability, Carrey returned to the stage with a more polished act. In a short period of time, he went from open-mic nights to regular paid shows, building his reputation in the process.Eventually Carrey was noticed by the more famous and skilled comic Rodney Dangerfield(Who contrary to popular belief wasn't very funny).Jim agreed to open for Rodney during his tour performances. This boosted Carrey's reputation.Carrey's last performance however occurred in Las Vegas, where he decided front and fourth that he would like to begin work in the media industry.More specifically, the acting industry.
Jim Carrey's sucess was apparent but not instantaneous. His earliest popular work was appearances on talk shows. He eventually transitioned to sitcoms where his most recognized early work comes from a short lived sitcom called "The Duck Factory".Which may in fact have kickstarted his career. From that point on Jim Carrey slowly began to rise to more and more fame, eventually landing lead roles in several hit movies and sitcoms.
Inspiration?:If inspiration was a factor, the biggest inspiration for Jim Carrey was...Well, Rodney Dangerfield perhaps.I'd assume Rodney was sort of a mentor to Jim.I can't prove this, but one would reflect someone who they strive to emulate no?Both were rather unfunny as comics but both had the guts to be unfunny.
Personal thoughts
Jim Carrey is arguably one of the most sucessful comics of his generation. And while I may be biased as a fan of Jim Carrey, I can safely say that Jim Carrey's life story is...Interesting, if you're a fan of Jim Carrey and you read(And you're not me of course)Well...You may not actually exist.
Hmm?This is one of the last unfounded articles?...Impressive...So many things written over the year, to end it off with the occurence of something amazing as the rise to fame of a star like Jim Carrey.Someone who could be...A mentor for all of us...That no matter what happens it your life...Stay strong...
Er...
Maybe that's just a half butted attempt at a moral for all of this...I don't know, I'll be back next school year for season 2 anyway.
