Water scarcity is already a problem that affects 40% of the world’s population. Nearly 80% of diseases in developing countries are associated with drinking water delivered through systems with inadequate sanitary standards.
To feed about 9 billion people that are expected in 2050 we will have to make a huge increase in agriculture water consumption. Because it takes around 2,000 liters of water to make 150 grams of beef and 40 liters to make a slice of bread.
The efficiency of household water consumption changes with all the different ages of homes. Older buildings usually have lower efficiency because new technology is so much different than it used to be.
