4.
Examples for State
1. Particles pack tightly together to create a solid. A wooden block is a solid.
2. . Water is a liquid because particles bump into each other.
3. Gas is air. The particles spread far apart. They can also move rapidly and can also bump into each other.

Color
Color is a property of matter that scientist use to describe and compar.
Examples:
hot pink purple green
6.
Texture
Definition: Something you can touch or feel.
Examples:1. basketball = bumpy
2. sand paper= rough 3. desk= smooth
4. soft, furry, fuzzy, smooth, leathery, bumpy, rough

Temperature
Definition: is how hot or cold an object is.

Leo Reynolds
8.
Examples for Temperature
1. Water freezes at 32 degrees fahrenheit which would be cold.
2. Iron ore is heated to 871 degrees fahrenheit to create steel. It is very hot.
3. if a beverage is too hot or too cold you use ice to cool it down
4. hot,cold,warm, and cool

Mass
Definition:Mass is the amount of Matter in a object.
Examples:
1.Place
the object on one side of the pan balance.
2.Add gram weights to the other side till every side is balanced.
3.Then add the sum of the mass of the object.

Volume
Definition:Volume is the amount of space something takes up.

11.
Examples for Volume
Measure volume using length, width, and height and 2. multiply all three numbers together
Fill a beaker and note the the volume using mL. 2. Then place the object in the beaker.
Note the new reading.
To find the volume of a solid object, find the difference between the two volumes.
