CELL CENTRAL

BY GREGORY DELIA

WHAT IS CELL CENTRAL?

THE GREATEST AMUSEMENT PARK OUT THERE!
-Cell Central is an amusement park that contains many rides, attractions, and just plain fun.

-Some things located at Cell Central are...

•Endoplasmic Reticulum (Roller Coasters)

•The Nucleus (Employees)

•The Golgi Body (Mini-games)

•The Vacuoles (Gift Shops)

•The Mitochondria (Food Stands)

•And many more...!

-I had choose to make Cell Central an amusement park because whenever I had seen a map of an amusement park, it has reminded me of a cell.

THE NUCLEUS (CONTROL)

-The nucleus at Cell Central are the employees that work around the park.

-The employees control the activity that is taking place at the park, making their behavior similar to how the nucleus works.

THE CELL MEMBRANE (SECURE)

-The cell membrane at Cell Central are the security that watches around the area.

-The cell membrane inside of a cell does the same thing, by controlling what comes in, and out of the cell. The security controls what comes in, and out of the park.

GOLGI BODIES (DELIVER)

-The golgi bodies in Cell Central are the mini-game machines.

-The golgi bodies in a cell receive and delivered things the cell needs, and in Cell Central, the mini-game machines do the same job. They receive prizes, and give them out after the person has won the mini-game.

VACUOLE (STORE)

-The vacuoles of Cell Central are the gift shops around the park.

-In gift shops, items are stored, just like in a vacuole. Also, some of the things in a vacuole and a gift shop are taken out and used, making them very similar.

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (TRANSPORT/MOVE)

-The endoplasmic reticulum of Cell Central are the roller coasters.

-In a cell, the endoplasmic reticulum move ribosomes, just as roller coasters move people.

MITOCHONDRIA (POWER)

-The mitochondria of Cell Central are the food stands.

-The mitochondria provides energy for the cell, just as food does for people. They both give off energy, making them actually very similar.

CHLOROPLAST (ENERGIZE)

-The chloroplast of Cell Central are the solar panels used on the walls.

-In a cell, chloroplast gathers energy for the sun for the cell to feed off of. Solar panels perform the same task, except to power things such as light bulbs.

CELL WALL (BLOCK)

-The Cell wall of Cell Central are the walls a doors around the whole park.

-Cell walls on cells protect the cell, but differently from the cell membrane. The Cell wall is a border around a cell, just as the walls around Cell Central border the park.

RIBOSOMES (SUPPORT)

-The ribosomes of Cell Central would be the people that go on a trip to the park, the consumers.

-The people that attend the park support the park so that the park can stay open. Just like in a cell, how ribosomes support the cell. Without ribosomes, there is no protein to support the cell.
Without people, there is no money to keep the park open.
