Most scientists think that the dinosaurs were wiped out by a huge meteor that struck the earth billions of years ago.
Some think that the meteor spread dust, dirt and rocks across the world as it hit the surface of the earth, making it impossible for plants to grow. Causing the herbivorous dinosaurs to die. Which made the carnivores have to eat each other and eventually their food supply ran out and the last of the dinosaurs became extinct.
Others think that the dinosaurs died naturally. Disappearing one by one until they became extinct.
No one really knows what caused the dinosaurs to become extinct and we might never know. But I think the second choice fits best.
