B is for Beatty. Beatty is the the fire chief in the dystopian city. He is a educated man which is uncommon because education is forbidden. He burns the books which he learned from.
I is for ignorance The people watching the parlor walls are ignorant of the world. They don't know about the wonder of books or anything with meaning. They are a representation of today's society's path.
K is for Kerosene Kerosene symbolizes censorship. As the author said in his authors note at the end of the book "there is more than one way to burn a book". In the book the physically destroy the books in real life they take out the point or meaning of the book.
L is for liberty. The right of liberty is in our constitution and it includes pursuit of happiness. Reading books makes people happy and the government is trespassing on this right.
M is for minorities The minorities in the book were the biggest problem. The minorities were easily upset so in order to make them happy they destroyed all thought because where there is thought there is upset people.
N is for Night At night in the city most things happen. The firemen hide in the night from the truth about books. The teens hide in the night from their guilt. The book readers hide in the night from the firemen. The night is very important.
P is for Parlor The parlor is the place where the wall screens are. The parlor represents the things that are wrong with our world. Wanting to be entertained, not wanting to work, and lack of thinking.
Q is for quizzed. In this book quizzed means two things. First it means what Beatty does to Montag to learn about the books. The other one is the lack of education. The kids never learn anything so they don't have quizzes.
R is for rebirth In the third part Burning Bright like the Phoenix montag burns his house and is reborn from the ashes. The city also burns and is planed to be rebuilt better from the ashes.
V is for victory The cities had started two nuclear wars and achieved victory in both. The other people achieved victory the last time by nuking them all.
