When Adam and Eve first gave birth to children, they named them Cain and Abel.

Cain was a farmer and Abel was a sheepherder.

Each of them made an offering to The Lord. Cain offered the fruit and Abel offered the best of his flock.

The Lord liked Abel's offering better than Cain's fruit.

This upset Cain and The Lord told him to not let his anger master him.

Cain was mad so he took Abel into a field and killed him.

Then, The Lord said to Cain... "Where is your brother?"
Cain said... "Am I my brothers keeper?"

Cain is punished by God and wanders the rest of his life. God marked him on his forehead so no one would kill him.

Cain sinned because he had jealousy toward his brother for being chosen ahead of him.
