zEBRA

  • Zebras are a type of horse that live in the Savannah grassland.
  • Their adaptations are their keen sense of hearing and confusing stripes.
  • The predators are Lions, cheetahs, and Hyenas.

The bison

  • live in the prairie and are in the grasslands
  • adaptations are broad flat-topped teeth, and a digestive system that is adapted to eat grass.
  • predators are determined on the age, a baby or very old bison can be attacked by wolves, mountain lions, and bears but otherwise when there in the middle age because of there size they are not very easy to be attacked. (map=green)

Herbivore Compare

  • The zebra is smaller and more vulnerable Vs a bison that is humongous and scares any animal that comes near it to death.
  • The bisons fur is more fit for summer where the zebra has a furry and thick winter coat.
  • One similarity is that they are both herbivores, they will kill an animal but they will not eat it.

aFRICAN hunting dog

  • The African hunting dog lives in the Savannah of the grasslands.
  • These dogs are undomesticated and are not solitary. They actually ALWAYS hunt as a pack. They have adapted to social behavior to be able to talk to each other.
  • Hunting in a pack lets them survive the brutal climate of the African Savannah.
  • Lions and hyenas will kill the dogs to steal the carcasses/food that the dogs killed.
  • These dogs are wild and are not pets.

Culepo

  • The culepo lives in the Western South America grasslands.
  • The culepo is a type of fox but a little bit smaller then a regular fox. The culepo is a solitary animal and will eat anything it can find (only meat though).
  • The culepo is one of the foxes who at one point was a dog and helped develop many of the dogs we have today.
  • There two adaptations are a vicious growl and a fast and quick body.

Carnivore compare

  • One difference is that the African hunting dog is a dog obviously.. and the Culpeo is a fox.
  • There one thing in common is there both meat eating animals (carnivore) plus there Hunters not hunted.
  • The last thing is a Culpeo is a solitary animal and a African hunting dog is a Pack hunting animal

The black-footed ferret

  • The black-footed ferret looks like a Minks and live in North America. They mainly hunt at night, nocturnal and solitary and live In the ground. The species declined throughout the 20th century, due to decreases in prairie dog population, main food source, and the sylvatic plague (a disease that originated from rats in Europe) there is Estimated to be 1000 left in the wild.
