MEMBERS WERE PLEGED TO SUPPORT THE SUPREMACY OF THE WHITE RACE

• Opposed the combing Of the races
• To restore white control of the government

THEY WERE TRYING TO STOP THE RECONSTRUCTION

• The whites were in control
• They had to try and stop many groups

THEY SCARED PEOPLE

• They had parades going through texas
• They tried to show how much power they had
