THEIR DIET

  • SLOTHS EAT MOSTLY LEAVES. SOMETIMES SLOTHS WILL EAT TWIGS, BUGS, AND FRUIT.

WHERE ARE THEY FOUND???

  • Sloths are found in Central Africa. Sloths are a land animal, mostly found in trees. Also sloths are really good swimmers.

THEIR LIFE SPAN AND HISTORY

  • Sloths can usually live up to 40 years. Over 100,000 years ago sloths used to be the size of elephants.

THEIR WAYS OF SURVIVING

  • Sloths are able to grow algae on their hair so they are able to be camouflaged from predators. They have four inch nails that helps them climb trees, and has a grip so good they are still able to hang from a tree even when they are dead. Sloths even only go to the bathroom once a week at the same spot.

FUN FACTS ABOUT SLOTHS !

  • All sloths have three toes, even tho two toed sloth has three toes, just only has two fingers.
  • Sloths can extend their tongues 10 to 12 inches to catch bugs.
  • They are related to ant eaters and armadillos.
  • Sloths are slow because of their protein, since they only eat leaves, bugs, twigs, and fruit, but most of the time only leafs.
