PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I was born and raised in Denver, CO. in the neighborhoods of Park Hill, Montbello, Northside and North Aurora.
For 3 years, I travelled the coasts and rainforests of Puerto Rico, while learning Spanish and Italian.
I am a dog person. My three dogs are rescues.
I began my teaching career in the living room of my house, making my dolls and my little sister learn for hours a day.
People who know me would say I am constantly advocating and fighting for social justice, equity, love, resilience, innovation and joy.
My most recent large-scale project was to work with school leaders to become more transformative, equitable and courageous. But the cool part was hosting a campus-wide dialogue between students and teachers regarding race and equity.
Fun Fact:
I am a poet and an artist.
Not to simply educate, but to improve the Soul of the World through innovation, success, bringing voice and power to the voiceless and powerless, and most importantly, through love.
Why McGlone? Leading a team of social justice warriors, educators and activists in empowering the Montbello Community: education, high achievement and creating positive change.
