TV Ads

  • In TV ads involving alcohol, you always see the great fun everyone is having
  • In other ads like ones found in magazines, there is a spokesperson who supports trying out some form of alcohol
  • It is not as common though to find alcohol ads that show the after effects of alcohol

Intoxication

  • Intoxication is the physical and mental changes produced by drinking alcohol.
  • In any circumstance where alcohol is involved, no matter the amount people can get intoxicated
  • From intoxication people can have a change in mood, feel sick, or pass out.

Reaction time

  • Reaction time is the amount of time that passes before the brain can detect a reaction to external stimulus
  • After having the intake of alcohol, the central nervous system slows down and causes reaction in the body to be delayed

Alcohol Abuse

  • Alcohol abuse is said to be the lack of common sense of how much to drink and when to drink
  • Since no one is the same, there are different levels of tolerance for alcohol
  • The major downside effects of alcohol abuse include: homocide, injuries, death, fights, drowning, auto accidents, etc.

Long term effects

  • A person who as a physical and psychological dependence on alcohol, would be called an alcoholic
  • An alcoholic loses control over part of their life, to the point where it does not only effect them, but people who are close to them
