In this problem 18+-3+5+9 it uses positives and only one negative.

First, you do 18+-3 which will 15. Then 15+5 equals 20, 20+9 equal 29

The problem uses Negative ands subtraction.

First, -12 -(-10) equals -2.
-2-6 equals 8

The problem uses Multiplying.

First do 14x-16 which equals -224, then do 5x2 which is 10, Finally do -224x10 which equals -2,240
