Energy

No Description

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Energy and matter are what make everything exist. Without energy everything would be still, nothing would be able to move.

Energy was believed to be able to be harnessed and was called life force. This is the idea that drove people to first invent the steam engine and then soon the gas engine.

Many physicists tried to figure out ways to harness life force and realized that heat and cold could be used to make life force, but they needed it more efficient and realized that by increasing the difference between the heat and cold it would increase the life force.

Some examples of life force; You have two pool balls and you roll one at the other and when one collides with the other the one you first rolled will stop and the other then will start to roll, physicists though that this was a quick transfer of life force.

How the steam engine was invented.
The steam engine was invented in a time of war and was very essential to them but another country did not have the steam engine yet so one man was assigned to make one and in his research he found that the faster something is heated the more energy is produced very quickly.

Quiz?
1. What was the early name for energy made by physicists?
2. How is it believed to harness this type of energy?
3. What was the first invention believed to use this energy?
4. Can you come up with your own idea of an example of this energy?

One Physicist came up with an idea that haunted him, making him almost unable to do anymore research, this idea was that all energy runs out and that everything had energy, this is the man that came up with the idea of electrons, if everything has energy and energy can run out then he thought everything even the world will run out of energy and break apart.

People did not believe that everything was made out of small circles with smaller circles going around them. But when they came out with the atomic model he turned out to be right.

Quiz?
1. What is believed to happen to life force?
2. How does life force related to atoms?
3. Why would it be bad for all energy to disappear?

Biblical integration
John 15:5
I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

You can now see that God is the ruler of energy and matter and ultimately everything, but his energy will never fade away which is why you should rely on him.
