ENCELADUS

FACTS

• Enceladus is made of ice and this moon is melting
• This moon orbits Saturn it is the sixth largest moon
• It was discovered on August,28th,1789 but little was known until the two voyage spacecraft passed it nearby 1980s
• Enceladus was discovered by William Hershel
• Enceladus is 324 degrees below Fahrenheit

• The blue stripes are actually long veins that are made of ice
• Enceladus has been spotted having water blasting out of it
• NASA conclude why it is melting

TERRAIN

Observations of Enceladus’s surface has revealed five types of terrain. cratered terrain, smooth terrain, ridged terrain (often bordering on smooth areas), linear cracks, scraps, and grooves. Surveys of the cratered terrain, smooth plains. That is the terrain of Enceladus
