BREAKING POINT

Engineering project to determine what angle makes the wooden utility poles break easiest.

Hypothesis
My hypothesis was that the poles would break faster at -45 degrees but my hypothesis was not able to be proven right or wrong.

What is a utility pole?
A utility pole powers our daily needs, for example it carries power for our homes and they can be made from metal or wood and if wood ,usually are coated with creosote.

What makes a utility pole break?
Usually a utility pole breaks because of natural occurrences wind, lightning, termites, and so on and I chose to duplicate wind for my experiment because, the other experiment was to dangerous.

What is a pin joint?
“A pin joint, a hinge joint or a revolute joint is a one degree of freedom kinetic pair used in mechanisms. This joint also provide single axis rotation function used in many things such as door hinges, folding chairs, and other folding mechanisms and uni axil rotation devices.” (Wikipedia Revolute Joint)
