YORKTOWN

  • Fought from September 28 - October 19, 1781.
  • Fought in Yorktown, Virginia.
  • Fought between the British troops and the French and American troops.
  • The French and American troops surrounded the British fleet. Causing them to surrender just days later.
  • Final battle of the American Revaluation.

  • Fought on April 19, 1775.
  • Fought at Middlesex County (Lexington & Concord).
  • Fought between the British and the 13 colonies.
  • First battles of the American Revaluation.

VALLEY FORGE

  • Valley forge was where the Americans camped during the harsh winter after losing in Philadelphia.
  • Many troops died due to freezing to death and starvation. Many troops decided to desert the war and go home.
  • Washington threatened to shoot deserters on sight.
  • Turning point in the war.
