PRISONS AND JAILS

  • Every year between 600,00-700,000 inmates are released Back into society without a plan
  • Funding is supported by Ohio Department of Corrections reentry program

VETERANS

  • In 2013, 349 US soldiers (active soldiers) committed suicide after returning home from combat.
  • That is roughly 1 soldier per day.
  • Veteran Affairs estimated that every day there are 18 veterans committing suicide.
  • This epidemic is mostly do to stress from combat or PTSD.
  • Veterans will meet with counselors
  • Meet with service officers

Mental HEALTH

  • We offer 24 hr care
  • On site therapist, psychiatrist, and life coaches
  • Daily and weekly Skill building workshops
  • Hands on therapy

SUBSTANCE ABUSE

  • Clients will not be put in a Medically Assisted Program however, several options such as Yoga, Meditation and other therapies will be presented as a release to cravings
  • Although this program does not place clients in a MAT program, Vivitrol could be an option that some could utilize
  • Clients will get care in a safe and healthy environment
  • They will be connected with sponsors, attend NA or AA groups as well as Smart Recovery and several support groups

In two years time Half-Way Homestead has made a mass amount of progress, and has successfully assisted incarcerated/long term cam patients back into society. Our clients have endured hardship but our job is to encourage and positively impact their lives. They can now hold the key to their lives and live to their full potential.
