Bill Clinton
Elected January 20th, 1993, President Clinton served two terms, which made him the first democratic president in 6 decades. Many know Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky. However, some remember him for his work to create 22 million jobs.
George W. Bush
Former President George W. Bush was the 43rd president of the United States. But before that he was the 46th governor of Texas. The thing he is known for most is the effort and care he put forth after 9-11. Bush formed a new cabinet-level Department of Homeland Security. Bush sent forces into Afghanistan to break up the Taliban.
Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan is a retired professional basketball player. Also known for his initials MJ and his brand of clothing and apparel. He is also the owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets.
Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler is an American actor, comedian, musician, etc. He got his start on Saturday Night Live. He is known for starring in hit comedies like Happy Gilmore (1996), Waterboy (1998), and The Wedding Singer (1998).
Marshall Mathers III
Marshall Mathers III also known as Eminem is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He was raised in Detroit, Michigan around 8 mile. But what most people don't know is that he was actually born in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
9-11
9-11 was a terrorist attack by the Al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001. The attack was on the World Trade Centers twin towers in New York. Four planes were hijacked and two of them crashed into the towers. One failed en route to the White House and one hit the Pentagon.
Globalization
Globalization is a process of integration and interaction among countries and the occupants within those countries. It is fueled by trade and investment and aided by information technology.
Flint Water Crisis
The Flint Water Crisis took place in Flint, Michigan in 2016. The whole water supply of the city was infected with led, which is potentially dangerous to residents. It happened because the city of Flints government took a expense cut and changed the cities water supply.
O.J Simpson Trial
Held on June 12, 1994, the trial of former NFL star and actor O.J Simpson. He was tried with two counts of murder in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The case was officially known as the People of the State of California v. Orenthal James Simpson.
ISIS
ISIS is a terrorist group formed in 1999. They have attacked Paris, France and Belgium, Germany. Along with many threats for new attacks.
Oklahoma City Federal Building Bombing
On April 19, 1995 a truck exploded in Oklahoma City. It destroyed the Oklahoma City Federal Building. The bomb killed 168 people and injured hundreds more. It was later classified as a Domestic Terrorist attack.
TV/Music/Movies
Technology has advanced so much including 3D movies and flat screen TV's. In music we do not use CD's or cassette tapes. Downloadable music and movies, even tv shows can be downloaded and watched on your phone.
Detroit Tigers Baseball
The Detroit Tigers are a professional baseball team. They were founded in 1901. For me when I go to a tigers game I can't be upset or mad. It's just all around fun.
Cyber Bullying
With the amount that our youth is dependent on technology cyber bullying has been more popular and crude. Efforts have been made to stop it but they haven't done much.
The Tonight Show
Jimmy Fallon took over the tonight show 2 years ago. He brought it back to New York. The show under his control has won 2 grammy's. It is also my favorite show.
