HOW CLOUDS FORM

  • Water evaporates from lakes, oceans, and other bodies of water.

CLASSIFICATIONS:

  • -High level
  • -Middle level
  • -Low level
  • -Clouds of Vertical Development

TYPES:

  • Each group of cloud has many different types of clouds in that group.
  • In clouds of vertical development there are three types:
  • Cumulus
  • Cumulonimbus
  • Nimbostratus

WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF:

  • They are typically made up of ice crystals
  • In their lower parts however it is mostly water droplets

WHAT THEY BRING:

  • They bring severe weather
  • Lightning storms
  • Tornados
  • And if it is over the ocean it can cause water spouts and sometimes hurricanes
