All cells have the following parts:

1. Cell membrane
2. Cytoplasm
3. DNA
4. Ribosomes

THERE ARE 2 BASIC TYPES OF CELLS

  • Prokaryotic
  • Eukaryotic

Prokaryotic (think Bacteria)

Prokaryotes don't have organelles surrounded by a membrane.

All bacteria are prokaryotic.

Eukaryotic (animal, plant, fungus and protist)

Eukaryotes have organelles that are surrounded by a membrane. (Examples include nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplast, Golgi, lysosomes just to name a few.
