What are abiotic and biotic factors of NC

  • Abiotic Factors and how they affect the biomes of North Carolina.
  • Abiotic factors are non-living factors of an environment. Abiotic factors are things like rocks and water. Water contributes to the environment as a source of drinking, bathing and also for habitats. There are rock arches which help anadromous fish spawn in the Cape Fear river.

What is the ecological footprint?

  • The ecological footprint is basically the impact that people have on the earth.
  • Like how we use fossil full, energy, waste, and deforestation

Traditional energy

  • traditional energy sources are fossil fuels. Coal and natural gas are fossil fuel. More than 85% of energy comes from fossil fuels. Coal has been used for thousand of years. Gas and diesel are a type of fossil fuel that cars, planes, boats use. Coal, natural gas power plant produce massive amounts of energy but there are some defaults to using fossil fuels.
