WHO DISCOVERED THE CHARCOT DISEASE

  • French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot discovered it

THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE CHARCOT DISEASE

  • They found out the charcot disease
  • encompasses a genetically heterogeneous group
  • of inherited neuropathies, also known as
  • hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies.

THE SIGNS

  • Difficulty lifting up the foot and making toe movement
  • Lack to stretch reflexes in the legs
  • The loss of muscle control and atrophy
  • Thickened nerve bundles under the skin of the legs

THE SYMPTOMS

  • Foot deformity (very high arch)
  • Numbness in the foot or leg
  • Weakness in the hips, legs or feet
