CHAPTER 15: INDIA

1. Before the birth and maturation of Muhammad, Arabian merchants came into contact with Indian salesmen through trade. Naturally, as the Arabians converted to Islam, the ideas then flowed onto Indian shores.
2. They brought about the ideas of Islam to India, in which the religion would grow and flourish into Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc,
3. There are many theories to why he wanted to invade India: some say it was for political and economical gain, because at the time, India was the richest country in the world, which China as it's only competitor. Others says it was to spread the word of Muhammed through the Indian subcontinent and beyond.

1.The largest and the capital city of the past empire and reflected their political and religious beliefs.
2. A dynastic monarchy was applied to India, which was not an abnormality to their peoples. While the sultan was assisted by the aid of his many personal advisors, the very important factors of the empire, such as education, trade, economic matters were put into the hands of his vizier.
3. The Dehli sultanate was more or less strictly based off an Islamic groups which used their religious a political beliefs on what they held important.

1. Along the southern areas of India.
2.Land revenue and high taxes fueled the economic growth and stabilization of the Chola Kingdom.
3. Because the Chola dynasty had been around for as long as it had been, the people, the military, the economy and virtually every aspect of the dynasty had expended all their resources. Corruption also played a role in the Chola kingdom; higher government officials attempting to usurp the emperor.
